Phonics

The School Improvement Reading Programme: Effective Phonics in EYFS and KS1 was led by Fiona Lingard, independent consultant, fionalingard.co.uk, working alongside Specialist Leaders of Education (SLEs) from Derbyshire’s Teaching Schools.

Derbyshire’s Education Improvement Service (EIS) is working with Specialist Leaders of Education (SLEs) from Derbyshire’s teaching schools to enable primary clusters of schools not involved in the original project to participate in Project Phonics EYFS-KS1 (available from May 2019) and Project Phonics KS2 (available from September 2019). Each project will last 6-8 months. Contact EIS@derbyshire.gov.uk for an information pack.

 

Reading Comprehension

The School Improvement Reading Programme: Improving Comprehension in KS2 was led by Monika Patel, Deputy Head at Highfields Primary School, Leicester, working alongside Specialist Leaders of Education (SLEs) from Derbyshire’s Teaching Schools.
